This Disclaimer supplements the DogDayz Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. By using the App, you acknowledge and accept it in full. It forms part of, and is incorporated into, the Terms & Conditions; if there is any conflict between this Disclaimer and the Terms, the Terms prevail.
1. Not Veterinary or Professional Advice
THE APP IS DESIGNED SOLELY AS A PET-CARE ORGANISATIONAL AND TRACKING TOOL. NOTHING IN THE APP, INCLUDING REMINDERS, HEALTH LOGS, WEIGHT TRACKERS, VACCINATION RECORDS, OR ANY OTHER FEATURE, CONSTITUTES VETERINARY, MEDICAL, NUTRITIONAL, BEHAVIOURAL, OR ANY OTHER PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.
Always: consult a qualified, registered veterinary surgeon before making decisions about your pet's health, medication, or welfare; do not delay seeking professional advice because of anything in the App; and follow your veterinarian's guidance over anything the App displays.
The App does not check for drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, or correct dosages, and it does not validate any medication, schedule, or reminder you enter. It is a record-keeping and reminder tool only. ALL MEDICATION DECISIONS — INCLUDING WHAT TO GIVE, HOW MUCH, AND WHEN — MUST BE MADE SOLELY BY A QUALIFIED VETERINARIAN.
2. No Guarantee of Notification Delivery or GPS Accuracy
Reminders and push notifications are provided on a best-effort basis only. Delivery and GPS accuracy may be affected by: GPS signal dropouts, inaccurate mapping data, or location tracking delays; your device's OS and version; notification permissions; background app refresh settings; battery saver or "Do Not Disturb" modes; manufacturer battery-optimisation or "Doze"/app-standby behaviour and iOS background-activity restrictions; network connectivity; app store updates; and any other technical factors beyond our control.
MyDayz expressly disclaims all liability for missed, delayed, or failed notifications or inaccurate location data. YOU MUST NOT RELY EXCLUSIVELY ON APP NOTIFICATIONS AS YOUR SOLE REMINDER TO ADMINISTER MEDICATION OR CARRY OUT TIME-CRITICAL PET CARE. Location features are optional and are off until you enable them; see our Privacy Policy for how location data is handled.
3. Accuracy of User-Entered Data
The App relies entirely on information you enter. MyDayz does not verify, validate, or cross-check any user-entered data. We disclaim liability for inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. The App may also show information it derives from your entries — for example weight trends, your pet's age, care-status indicators such as "due soon" or "overdue", reminders, and summaries. These outputs are generated automatically for convenience, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and are not veterinary advice; do not rely on them for health or treatment decisions.
4. No Liability for Pet Harm or Death
MyDayz shall not be liable for any harm, injury, illness, or death of your pet arising from: your use of or reliance on the App; a missed, delayed, or incorrect notification; inaccurate data; any technical fault or error; or any decision you make based on information in the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyDayz disclaims all such liability. Nothing in this section limits liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or where such limitation is prohibited by local law (including in the United States, Australia, and other jurisdictions).
5. App Availability and Accuracy
We do not warrant that the App will be continuously available, error-free, or free of data loss; that it will function correctly after OS updates; or that it will be compatible with all devices. We use reasonable endeavours to maintain the App but accept no liability for downtime, data loss, or technical errors. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and subject to section 9, we exclude all implied warranties and terms, including any implied warranties of satisfactory quality, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App is free from viruses or other harmful code, although we take reasonable steps to prevent this. We recommend keeping the App and your device's operating system updated for security and compatibility (see Terms, sections 4.3 and 6.5), and we are not liable for issues arising from outdated or unsupported versions. The App's features may also change over time; any new features are provided subject to the disclaimers in this document.
6. Third-Party Content and Links
The App may display content from, or links to, third-party services (for example, mapping and location services or clinic/vet directories) for convenience only. MyDayz does not endorse or assume responsibility for third-party content. Use of third-party services is at your own risk.
7. Photographs and User Media
You warrant that you have all rights necessary to upload content and that it does not infringe third-party rights. MyDayz is not liable for copyright, privacy, or other legal issues arising from media you upload. We process photos you upload only to provide App features such as storage, display, and thumbnails; we do not analyse photo content for medical, diagnostic, or advertising purposes, and we do not use your photos to train AI models.
8. Future Advertising
MyDayz reserves the right to introduce in-app advertising in future. If introduced, pet health profiles will never be shared with advertising networks and advertising identifiers will only be collected with your explicit consent. Any advertising will comply with applicable law and will not be targeted using pet health information.
9. Jurisdiction-Specific Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Disclaimer limits or excludes any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction, including (without limitation): the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK); EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU); the Australian Consumer Law; New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993; applicable US state consumer-protection statutes; Brazil's Consumer Protection Code (CDC); or equivalent legislation in any other jurisdiction. Where any limitation in this Disclaimer is not permitted by applicable law, it shall be read as limited to the fullest extent the law allows.
